We are Ole & Marion and we opened casa olmar-store in 2020 to share beautiful design objects with you. casa olmar just loves good design and is passionate about interior – vintage, new or selfmade.
Ole is one of the founders of casa olmar. As projectmanager for events, exhibitions and fairs, he has an eye for rooms, proportions and arrangements. Educated as carpenter and ceramist, he brings in skilled manual work. Most of the selfmade items shown on this site are his ideas – resulting from the demand of design-objects he misses for himself. His unbeatable knowledge about materials and their combination paired with good feeling for the right craftsperson results in high-quality, functional and beautiful design-items.
Designer and Photographer Marion is the other founder of casa olmar. As a little child she got an understanding of changing, arranging and discovering rooms from her grandmother who taught her to read floor-plans while renovating, building and decorating her houses. Marions passion for design might have started by then – later being educated as a Photographer and studying Design. She loves travelling and takes every chance to explore the world – preferably while working abroad and thus get to know new people and lifestyles. This passion brought her e.g. to Indonesia working on Bamboo Design-Projects, Cuba, Barcelona and other beautiful spots for photo- and design-projects.
